A “superfood cafe” specializing in loaded toasts, açaí bowls and cold-pressed juices is coming to Owings Mills, with “at least two more” Baltimore County locations on the way, according to a Friday news release from development company Hill Management Services Inc.

Grain & Berry, which boasts more than 30 locations across the country, has signed a lease for a 1,750-square-foot storefront at the Red Run Station development at 11054 Red Run Blvd. Franchisee William Chaney plans to open the Owings Mills location before summertime, and has not yet disclosed the addresses of the next two upcoming locations.

“The high visibility of Red Run Station immediately grabbed my attention, and the reaction was similar to my first experience sampling a Grain & Berry smoothie — it just grew on you the more you thought about it,” Chaney said in the release. “That section of Owings Mills is crowded with early-morning and late-day commuters and we expect to generate a tremendous amount of business from the drive-by traffic.”

Established nearly 10 years ago in Florida, Grain & Berry aims to serve “farm fresh and delicious food in a warm and friendly setting,” according to its website. Highlights from its menu include the “Healthy Elvis” smoothie with chocolate protein powder, banana and peanut butter, the “Meat Your Heart Out” flatbread with plant-based sausage and the “Green Monstah” toast with avocado and pesto.

“I was first exposed to the brand near my home in Palm Harbor and immediately inquired about acquiring a franchise,” Chaney said in the release. “That was not possible at that time but, when the opportunity finally became available, I jumped at the chance.”

Last October, Grain & Berry announced that it would open a Harbor Point location in “early 2026.” On the business’ website, hours for the Baltimore location are listed as “Coming Soon.”
